We believe the church functions best when everyone plays their part.
Our teams are a gentle way to use your gifts so people in Bridgwater can encounter God and find community. When you join a team, our hope is that you’ll feel more connected to the life and vision of the church, encouraged in your faith, and at home with the people around you.
You’re always welcome to come and talk to us. For some areas of serving, we simply ask that you’ve been sharing in the life of the church for a while first — so you can get to know us, and we can get to know you. Where a role needs a DBS check, we’ll say so clearly.
Ways to serve
Explore teams
Welcome people at the door, help them find a seat, and show them around, especially if it’s their first visit.
Drinks, snacks, and a hello before we gather, 10:00–10:30am.
Help with Sunday groups for 3–5s, 6–11s, and Years 7–9. Crèche is a space for little ones aged 0–2. It isn’t staffed, so parents stay with them. This role needs a DBS check.
Serve with Sunday teens and youth, where that fits. This role needs a DBS check.
Singing, playing, or helping with sound and production.
If you’d like to sing or play, we simply ask for a short video so we can hear you.
We meet in a school, so help before and after the gathering is very welcome.
